Although Joe had experienced much success during his life, he remained an unpretentious guy, down to earth and content with the simple way of life. As a sports enthusiast, the sporting event of the day provided hours of lively discussion with his buddies, as they analyzed whatever play or final outcome had occurred. He loved his family dearly, and took great joy in having grandchildren in his later years.
We extend our sympathies to the entire Bove family. May you rest in peace, Joe. We will miss you.

My sincere condolences to the entire Bove family. I have fond memories of cousin Joe Bove, seeing him frequently at my Grandmother's and Grandfather's house on Harold Street in Cos Cob, Ct. He had a wonderful smile and had a wonderful way with people. Our whole family was very proud of his accomplishments and attention and time he spent with family and friends. He will be missed dearly.

Joe was a wonderful man and terrific PGA professional. I knew Joe since I was 11 years old and he was always so nice to me and was a dear friend of my father’s, Dr. Arthur Bevacqua. We spent countless hours with Joe at Lakeover in Bedford, NY, and I always remember playing with Joe, getting some wonderful tips and him allowing me to pick up the range to earn a few dollars as a young boy. Joe was a wonderful ambassador of the game and loved it so dearly. I vividly recall the love he had for his family, his mother and all of his students, customers and employees. I will miss him dearly and am so glad we reconnected a few years back. He had an enormous impact on my life and on my decision to pursue the game of golf. Peter P. Bevacqua, CEO, The PGA of America
