Theodore Faugno

Obituary of Theodore C. Faugno

Theodore Carmine Faugno, age 88, passed away peacefully at home on January 5, 2019. Ted was born in Stamford, CT on November 10, 1930. He grew up among other families of Italian heritage on the West Side of Stamford where he lived with his parents Ralph and Domenica (Uva) Faugno and his younger brother Ralph, Jr.

Ted was a graduate of Stamford High School where he became interested in the field of electronics. He developed skills while working for Al’s TV repair shop. Ted served in the United States Army Signal Corps working on radio communications. Upon completion of military service he married his sweetheart Elizabeth and they started a family together. Ted pursued his career as an electronic technician at Manson Laboratories and Cober Electronics where he was involved with test systems for the Patriot anti-missile system.

In his “second career” Ted brought years of valuable life experience and book keeping skills to his sons’ cabinetry business. Ted and Liz have been members of their beloved St. Clement Church community for many years. Ted was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus for over 45 years. Ted’s Italian roots led him to his passion for vegetable gardening and growing fig trees, which he continued to enjoy through this past summer. He shared this knowledge with his children and grandchildren. He also loved to grocery shop with a keen eye for bargains. Ted enjoyed use of the Tully Center pool and loved to socialize with the other members. Grandpa lived life to the fullest by attending sporting events, exhibits, concerts, graduations, and celebrations of all kinds for his grandchildren! His grandchildren adored him and will miss him dearly.

Ted is survived by his wife Elizabeth (Sabia), his children Joanne Faugno and her husband Jay Fusci of Norwalk, Ralph Faugno and Denise Veit, Ted Faugno and his wife Anne. His beloved grandchildren also survive him: Andrew, David, and Daniel Faugno-Fusci, Jackie and Michael Faugno, Nicole, Katie and Teddy Faugno.

Ted’s brother Ralph Faugno, Jr., his wife Filomena, his brother-in-law Tony Sabia and Barbara also survive him. Ted is blessed with many loving nieces, nephews and cousins.
